Some of the best conversations happen face-to-face. Our Friendly Visitor Program brings caring community members directly to residents in long-term care.
Our volunteers don’t just show up; they connect. Whether it’s chatting over coffee, playing cards, sharing stories, or simply being present, every visit is shaped around what brings each resident joy.
How It Works
Verify – We background check all volunteers
Match – We pair volunteers with residents based on interests, language, or good chemistry
Visit – Volunteers visit monthly or more, 30–60 minutes each
Connect – Activities flow naturally — conversations, games, music, whatever clicks
Support – Thorough training, an assigned mentor, and optional monthly educational gatherings make volunteers feel confident and connected
